Eligibility Requirements for Commercial Pilot

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
  • Hold at least private pilot certificate.
  • Receive the ground training and pass the FAA knowledge test.
  • Receive the required flight training and pass the FAA practical test.
  • Hold at least a third-class medical certificate.

Flight Experience Requirements for Commercial Pilot

  • Total 250 hours of flight time.
  • 100 hours of Pilot-In-Command time.
  • 50 hours of Pilot-In-Command cross-country time.
  • 20 hours of flight training from an authorized flight instructor.
  • 10 hours of solo or time performing duty of PIC with CFI including one long cross-country and 5 hours of night.
