October30th 2010, RHV Tower Tour!
It was raining. One of the instructor come to the idea of visiting RHV tower. Tower tour had been prohibited since the incident of "Kid Controller" at JFK. Finally, the last RHV airport day, they reopened the gate for us. The students has learned a lot in the tower. It is nice for the pilots and the controller to see each other face to face to be familiar. However, the photo is not allowed in the tower still so we took picture outside.
October 28th 2010, First Solo Flight
Mr. Toshiro Tateayama made his first solo flight in a Cessna 152, N24373. It is a nice autumn day. His flight is as well as San Francisco Giants on the world series.
October 25th 2010, New CFI
Mr. Lee Kang Wuk has passed his initial Flight Instructor Certificate practical test in Arrow N2496M with Dave Witt, the FAA inspector. He has finished the oral part on last Friday but since the weather was bad, flight part was delayed. Finally, he has completed everything. What is he looking for next?
October 16th 2010, 50 years anniversary for Amelia Reid
It is 50th year since late great Amelia Reid opened her flight school at Reid-Hill view airport. There was no control tower at that time. The name "Reid-Hill view" came from Reid family who developed the airport and donated to the county. She is also well known as a acrobatic pilot who taught Sean D. Tucker. The party was held at the airport and many people enjoyed the food, formation flight of 5 tail wheel airplanes and the Travel Air biplane.
October 14th 2010, Private Pilot
Mr. Kazuki Saeki has passed his private pilot practical test in N24373 with Jim Currier. He is from Asahi Aviation, the sister school in Japan. He needs to finish IFR and Multi engine before he go back to Japan.
October 8th 2010, First Solo Flight In USA
Mr. Park Byoungkoo made first solo flight in USA in N73454. His instructor, Paul was not nervous at all because the student is doing very well!
