Flight Training Courses

Nice Air offers courses in both airplanes and helicopters. In our airplane courses, we offer flight training from Private Pilot through ATP. In our helicopter courses we offer Private Pilot and Commercial licenses.

Private Pilot Course

Cessna 152Industry Standard for Primary Flight Trainer

FAA Private Pilot LicenseThis course take you from beginner to Private Pilot at you own pace. You can complete the course in as little as 3 weeks. We use Cessna 152's and 172's for training.

Instrument Rating Course

Cessna 172 Instrument Trainer Cockpit

FAA IFR Instrument Rating CourseThis is a 40 to 50 hour program where you'll learn to fly the airplane by reference to the instruments. This rating is for anyone who is already a pilot and wants to upgrade their skills and be able to fly in less than VFR weather. An instrument rating is also required for almost every aviation job.

Commercial Pilot Course

Piper Arrow III, the "Complex Airplane"

Piper Arrow IIIYou will need this certificate to become a "Professional Pilot". Total 250 hours of flight time is required including previous training. If you already have all the requirement, it will take about 2 weeks to complete. Also, you need 10 hours of flight time in the "Complex Airplane" such as this Piper Arrow III.

Initial Flight Instructor Course

The Initial CFI class consists of the following :

  • 10 Days of formal classroom lecture
  • 5 hours of individual 1 to 1 instruction on problem areas
  • 10 hours of dual instruction in a Piper Arrow
  • 1 hour spin endorsement in a fully aerobatic Citabria
  • All books and materials for the course

The course is the most comprehensive of it's kind. When you're done with the course, you will be ready to be a flight instructor and know what you are teaching!

This course is taught by experienced CFIs and is overseen by a dual qualified FAA CFII, MEI and British QFI

Course course content includes:

Aerodynamics, FAR 61, 91, AIM, Publications, Weather Theory and Reports, Cross Country Flight Planning, High Altitude Operations, Crew Resources Management, Night Operations, Lesson Planning, Fundamental's of Instructing, Private and Flight Instructor PTS, Aircraft Systems, Weight and Balance, Aircraft Performance and all Private, Commercial and Flight Instructor Maneuvers
